What would be a unique gift for a first birthday?
My best friends baby girl is turning 1 in a few weeks. She already has too many toys, and she is expecting many more for her birthday, she has more than enough clothes. What could I get that would be unique??

What to get for someone’s birthday when it is your first time meeting him?
My friend is bringing a date to a mutual friend’s birthday party (basically because we all wanted to meet this girl he’s been dating). He wanted to get a gift and just put both of their names on it, but I suggested that she get him a small gift just as a thoughtful thing for a first impression. Nothing big or elaborate, just something that says that she put thought into the gift herself. What should she get? Or should she just put her name on whatever gift her date is buying?
I think just putting her name on the date’s gift would be fine. It seems to me to be trying just a little too much to be liked for her to go out on her own for getting a gift for someone she hasn’t even met yet.
